I see it funny that Birchall is in the top 50 or top 40. I like the guy and as a player, but he's surely not better than other defenders like Heath Shaw...

Heath Shaw is 29th brichall is a gun
Well my mistake, but yeah Birchall shouldn't be in the top 50.

Birchalls a gun whatlez, extremely under-rated

Yes he is underrated and I have him under my picture if you notice, but still not in the top 50.

So are you basing this on best in each position or what? I still don't understand how Taylor is so high when you've placed other great defenders like Scarlett and Glass so low?

Taylor might be the best defender in the league according to you, but how does he get ranked higher than dual brownlow medalists and the like?

Obviously players like hodge mitchell bartel or more skilled, but taylor is a gun defender, its done by how good they are compared to the rest of the league, for me H.Taylor is 8th best

So if your comparing based on other players in their positions shouldn't the top 4 be Swan, Cox, Franklin and Taylor? or is there some other criteria that puts Ablett, Judd, Pendlebury and Selwood ahead of those?

I'm just interested in how you chose these

My critera was trying to make a balanced top 50. Taylor is a freak, I would love to of put Mitchell Murphy Bartel higher, but there has to be some balnce with each position. I wanted a Ruck, Forward and Back in my top 10, thats why I have Taylor 8th.

elephants

Gazza as number one imo... Why is Marc Murphy so low??

The F.A.R.K.

Mistake me if im wrong but didnt see chris yarren, stephen hill, Hamish Hartlett in there

these 3 are guns fo each of their sides but not guns at dt.

Jukes

Yeah i reckon Gazza should be a lock at number one, he's the best player of the current era, and one of the best of all time. Swanny just can't compare to him.

That's a pretty lazy way of making it sorry. What puts Selwood, Ablett, Judd and Pendlebury ahead of Taylor but players like Hodge and Marc Murphy are after Taylor? (a long way after)

You've used different critera with about every 5 people.

Capper

I think ablet should be 1 and swan 2.

Maybe you should do a top 50 scoring players rather than top 50 players
