Your backline is going to need upgrading half way through the season though.

Not sure Buckley will get regular games either.   You could quickly find yourself with a doughnut or two in the backline, other than that, it's quite good.

So based on that, downgrading King to Kennelly wouldn't be a good idea although it will allow me to bring in Gibbs for McLean or Higgins for Ziebel?

You said to be harsh so I will, to a degree :)
Backs :- King, Buckley & Sheppard I have many doubts whether they will fit in their respective teams best 22 for round 1. Other backs look great. Try looking at Matthew Broadbent, possibly David Myers or Josh Hunt ( though Hunt better suited to SC) as  replacements.
Ablett a must for SC at the start not so in DT. I would look at getting Gibbs, Vince or Selwood at the start, use the cash elsewhere. Get GAJ  & Swan as an upgrade target. Blease likely to play VFL at the start of the year coming off broken leg so change him with possibly Bastinac who is flying at the kangaroos. Shuey good choice - training well at WCE, over injuries. Rest of mids ok
Hille a massive risk- not certain to play round 1. Ashley Prescott ( assistant coach at bombers) has said he is recovering well but is no certainity for round 1. Look at Kruezer instead I think, massive upside.
Forwards- I doubt very much Deledio will be listed as a forward myself - almost certain he will be a mid only- maybe ROK or Harvey instead.Think Talia does not have the body yet for AFL, change him for Gumbleton who looks at long last to have his body right.. for the time being  :D With Lucas & Lloyd gone he will be given every chance this year to hold down a key forward post. Hope that helps  :)

Yeah not sold on Buckley either myself you could even go with Kennelly there who will slot back into the half back line with run and carry.

Midfield pretty good.

Rucks are fine. Even if Hille doesnt make round 1 I feel that SKipper and Lobbe will be starters for their teams as cover until Hille comes back in for the Dons.

Forwards pretty good also as said Burton is a risk. Talia I dont think will be ready either I think others are ahead of him at the Crows. As said you could go with Gumbleton - or even try Lewis Johnston from Sydney be wrapped on him and I think he will get some early games for them has been impressive during pre-season had a year developing this season.
