They have gold coast up there, just wondering if this had come in to anyone's thoughts at all about the possibility of people being rested? Obviously it's a while away and if they do play they will probably score well, need them to still be fighting for a spot in the 4 so they have to win. I'm a cash buy in league player so this will hopefully be an important week for me!

I had a squizz at rounds 22 & 23 aswell. A long way off, but a murphy, judd, scotland, carrazzo getting a rest for that game is a worry. Judd was on the couch tonight, nearly guaranteed he would have at least 2 rested games this season.

Well....

It's very likely that they will rest players that round.
Yep, read this article too.

I don't have any Blues atm(maybe gettting robbo in, probs wont get rested though) so i dont have to worry, but i reckon they'll definitely rest the players mentioned above unless they had prior chances to rest their stars, at least 2 games rested. Blues will probably still smash suns with about 3/4 of their best 22 + fringe players

Too far away

Anything could happen between then and now.

There is a very high attrition rate on players in todays game style

Theyd be lucky to avoid injury to key players that may affect their top 4 aspirations

Carlton like to beat the best teams , but then lose to Essendon and the like

Winning form is good form...I was at the suns game on the weekend , the fans are feral...and the players seemed to gain confidence when the place got rowdy....with the blues no doubt drawing a larger than usual crowd that weekend...anything could happen...they definately wouldnt want to risk losing that game if top 4 wasnt locked in.

The position of West Coast and Sydney may also have a bearing on team performances at that time of year...the blues wouldnt want to play a final in Sydney or at the house of pain

Too many variables to consider at rd 4

^ agreed, good post. Worry about this after round 21 when there is something concrete. Just means you may have to hold a trade or 2 just in case but we should all do that come finals anyway.

Good call, bad call? Is it too early to consider the GCS vs Carlton Rnd 22 game in your team structure? Bad call, this is a do or die prelim final round in the league games & Hawthorn rested 6 or 7 of their best 22 at a similar time last year. Have Scotland & Carrots in your back seven headed into this game at your peril. I would suggest only having one & getting a premo back from another side. As for saving 2 trades. Most of us would like at least 2 or 3 trades headed into round 22 (if we are still in it). There may be other teams resting players around this time, not to mention injuries & pre-planned upgrades.

I traded in 5 Hawks in preparation of the GF last year

Bozo Clarkson rested nearly all of them and my GF was frooted
