Hey All.

So, after being burnt by Gibbs last week, he was playing as a loose defender in the backline, but im not sure if things are going to get much better against Collingwood, and his low score from last week will be in the calculations for the next couple of weeks. He is currently at the M5, I plan was to do a side-way trade to S.Selwood (I Know a Side-Way Trade…), but Selwood is looking to be a very nice point of difference and is playing above his average.
I Could wait a week to see how Gibbs fairs against the Pies, but Scotty Selwood is up against GWS, which means a massive score for him and the Eagles. This also allows me to trade Broughton to Goddard/Carazzo, (I know, I Know i was one of the stupid few who didn’t start with him, big mistake), And Selwood is also very consistent and even with the Defensive Tagging roles, he makes up points with piles of +4′s from Tackles,

My MidField Is Currently: Gazza, Penduls, Rockliff, Selwood, Gibbs*, Magner

I Believe Gibbs and S.Selwood for the first half of the year will average close to the same, and i believe Scotty will break the tonne for average by the end of the year

So do you guys think this is a stupid trade, if so talk some sense into me, and if not thoughts?  :D  :D

Adamant

I dont think its a stupid trade at all - I rate Scotty Selwood highly and think he will be a gun DT'er this year aswell. Although I would personally wait a week or 2 on Gibbsy, he just had a bad game.....I know his B/E is high and Scotty is up against GWS this week but If Gibbsy manages to turn his scoring around, then you save a trade. As for Broughts...I would downgrade him to someone like Waters or Malceski or if you want to pocket a bit of cash then go with Hargrave (if you dont have them of course).

Colliwobblers

rocky and gibbs ouch !

both are guns and both will get back to what you expected of them sooner rather than later, bit knee jerk to trade on a bad game when talking about premiums that are elite.

still S Selwood playing on ball is the bargain of the year it's like getting J Selwood for S Selwoods price :)

hardnut

I'd be tempted to do it and I don't like to trade out premo's early as a rule. The reason I like it is that it nets you Goddard who WILL score lots more the Broughts over the year and S.Selwood is elevating to elite so I expect will match Gibbs over the course of the year.

Only a game at the end of the day and sometimes fortune favours the brave. If you want Scott Selwood then grab him!

mpollock

Makes sense ... getting Goddard is a must as well!  :)

I am trading in Selwood this week in SC ... but need to get Magner who i didn't start with in DT!!!  Massive mistake!!

Cheers Guys for the FeedBack!

I;m thinking of going through with it as, Goddard will score a lot more points than the 'Broughton RollerCoaster' and as mentioned before Selwood i think will breakout and be within 5 or so points of Gibbs by the end of the season for a bargain price...

But please keep commenting and replying with thoughts! :)

Ricochet

Be careful with S.Selwood. I know he's playing well and looks to breakout but they have smashed Melbs and Bulldogs. Will be interesting to see how he goes against tougher opposition. Then again he has GWS this week...
Definitely get Goddard in

Yeah, That is True, but last year he only dropped below 70 Twice the whole season, so he is very consistent against Betetr Teams.
