your backline will be in tatters by round 5, far too weak and risky. midfield is good and the forwards should be ok but dont expect huge improvement out of knights or mayne in 2010.

migz u talking about my backline or the oher guys? which players do u think i need to change?

I was talking about yours christoff, but now i've had a look at hurley!'s...his is worse.

Blokes like maguire and ladson have huge doubts still hanging over them and are injury prone players, ladson's injury isn't going so well still and with gibson now at hawthorn he may struggle (he was only a fringe/link player at best anyway). Maguire (if fit) needs to prove himself to Voss first and then when he plays will only average 50 at absolute best. Sheppard could make a good 7th back and will be a popular pick depending on how he goes in NAB and fits into the west coast structure. Xav ellis i would like to see him in the NAB first also. Its just that the backlines in 2010 wont have alot of value in them i dont think, so im going with a 4 man premium structure at the moment. But i do think that at least one the these four cheap returning players will end up a keeper (waters, kennelly, buckley, nash or smith)...the trick is choosing which one.

Nutcase, I don't mind the gun rookie but ignoring the mid priced players this year I think is a big mistake. There is plenty of value in the mid priced back (walker, pettard, nash, kennely) but not much value in the really lower priced backs, The mid priced forwards are where i reckon the value is though.

J Riewoldt, LeCras, Thomas, M Stokes, Rioli - all of these 5 have the ability to improve 10ppg which will make them a mid priced keeper.

Also there is a few in the mids as well. Swift, McVeigh, Palmer.

Looking at your team again I just can't see where you are going to make your money to upgrade your rookies, remember rookies have to play at least 5-6 games for them to be worth downgrading. I can't really see Talia, Moore, Melksham, Vardy or Butcher playing 6 games before round 15. Im happy to be corrected though.

Just some food for thought.
