what if he isn't named next week?? i always go with the theory you play rookies that start round 1, a lot can happen in a week of footy

If you have magner, shiel and oldmac then you don't need to risk getting Neale. He may or may not play, could be the sub, and who knows what his JS is like when mundy and morabito return.
There is no doubt that he will score well when given an opportunity, but there are just better cash cows out there right now with less risk.

Rooks named still to play all better than Neale = Magnet, Ledger then there are the debatable clay smith and pfieffdog less so.

Unless your chasing a benched oldmac or kennedy score why start neale?

Plus Lyons may love him but he isn't famous for playing rooks thats for sure!

Not planning on starting Neale, he is my last midfielder.. do not need him yet & with only $300 spare seems to be no other options

well many of the best rookies of recent years have not played round 1!!!

well, i ended up not strarting with Jmac, dodged a small bullet there. i do have shiel, i do have magner. my forward and back benches are looking sound so i'm going to start ledger as emergancy and place neale at M8.
if he doesn't get up, its a swap for Jmac on the bubble for mine.
for the record morabito is very unlikely to even get a game this year.

i think the consensus is that we see neale as having better scoring potential than most other rookies barring magner? the fact i don't have Jmac makes me feel like i can take the risk in selecting him. if i did have Jmac i don't think i would.
