Picking up Jmac

To all people who doesn't have Jmac are you thinking of picking him up rd 4?

He would of had two games under his belt and will probably increase 40k+

Also is it possible to have Couch in your forwards and then get Jmac in? Thinking of having couch and if he hadn't played till rd 4 then I'll chuck Jmac in for him, but that trading crap is annoying and I don't know how it works.

If JMac can replicate his round 1 score in round 4 then I'll look at him, if that $$$ from going Coniglio to him can upgrade another player.

J-Mac is only available in the midfield. If you want to trade him in you need to trade someone out of your midfield. If Couch is in your forwards, you can still trade Couch > McDonald, but you need another M/F in your midfield to swap with Couch.

Well then if someone in the midfield goes down then jmac first in.

Old McDonald back to the farm.
Many people picked up the $98k old James McDonald. He was a tasty option that sees him in 21.3% of teams! Whilst all of these coaches would have been delighted with his 98 points, they wouldnâ€™t be happy with the 2 weeks that he has copped at the tribunal.

If you have McDonald, you donâ€™t have much choice really but to keep him. It is not worth a sideways trade (after rd1 completes of course) to get rid of him. That would be a wasted trade. However, what this does do is opens the door for those coaches that donâ€™t have him (like me). He wonâ€™t play his third game now until at least round 5. This means that if you have selected a dud rookie in the mids or you have had a rook cop a long term injury (think Coad from last year) in the first couple of weeks, then you can swap them out and pick up McDonald.

I don't think I'll get on JMac unless he is slaughtering on his return (ala Curnow), of course unless there is another early injury.

If he came back Round 10, that would be a different story (first price rise after bye)

lol that would pretty sweet. Yeah if Magner/Shiel/Conglio/C.Smith gets injured then I will do it.
