Hey guys hoping you for could clear this up for me.
Here is an extract:

13.2 A Player is eligible for inclusion on an AFL Club’s Veterans List or to be classified as a veteran, on the Primary List if:
(a) the Player has been at the AFL Club on the Primary List for at least ten (10) years; and

(b) the Player is 30 years of age or older as at 30 September in the relevant AFL Season.

Chance Bateman was drafted in 99 and ill assume immediately on our primary list made his debut in 2000, does he now qualify for the veterans list or is it at the conclusion of the 2010 season?

My understanding is drafted in october 99 and october 09 gives 10yrs of club service meeting the 1st requirement but is not yet 30 at the begining of 2010 season. So he will not be on the veterans list this coming season but is eligible in 2011. Is that fairly straight forward?

Let´s look at Fev.  At carlton he was drafted in 98 made his debut in 99 giving him 11yrs of club service and turns 30 in january 2011 making him eligible for the veterans list in 2011. Fairly simple, however if he were drafted by another club for example hawthorn will he also need to provide 10yrs of club service to qualify for the veterans list? This will meet criteria point A.

Any clarification here is useful thanks and I hope my wording has not caused confusion. As I am confused.  :)
