no thoughts?

i swapped smedts to j allen and upgraded couch to treloar, because couch hasnt been elevated yet and i think i can hold a trade and wait for treloar

Only 3 premium mids a bit of a worry imo. But having said that your low priced mids are good

fever

yeah the best rookies are mids this year imo

fever

bump.

lil help? i'm really quite DT clueless

The reason you're not getting many comments is probably because the team looks good!

A cpuple of options...

If you need some extra money then I'd look at replacing Saad and 5fer with cheaper options such as Hall or Dickson. Similar scoring and JS for them all but at less cost.

Also, Couch is still on the rookie list and Kerridge may be the Crows' go-to vest candidate.

If you're starting with Cox, Giles and Kreuzer then perhaps you could look at Stephenson for your fourth ruck? Cheaper and (hopefully) better JS.

thanks mate. i'm not sure wrt kerridge, because i want a fwd/mid MPP and i missed the boat on kennedy. is it worth it to maybe have pfeiffer in there and a more suited rookie forward like hall or dickson? i know kerridge will play a bit, vest or not.

i have taken a punt and upgraded couch to treloar, i figure i can handle a few 0s and save a trade for when he eventually comes in (i hear it'll be soon rather than later). this meaning i had to swap smedts to j allen in def.

are the players i've selected good DTers as well as SCers?

The new trading rules means you don't NEED to start with a DPP in each position. Personally, all my DPP's are in the forward line and I'll swap one into the mids either when I trade out a cashcow or at bye time. This means I've got a pure midfield rookie making me money rather than someone like Kerridge. Hall and Dickson in the forward line are better options (IMO) than Pfeiffer and Saad.

Keep an eye out for Jackson Paine's name on the Collingwood team sheet. He's also $98k and F/D eligible like Smedts.

Yes!

appreciate it. i keep forgetting about the new trading rules. will look at other options now. any suggestions for a mid rookie (obv non gws now)?

You trade out Saad and 5fer for Hall and Dickson then you'll have ~$150k to find a Kerridge replacement.
Options include Hogan ($130k) and Neale ($98k).

not bad, i would make the following changes.
Saad>Hall/Dickson
Kruezer> Big Orren
Dangerfield>Porps

then upgrade your midfield, its too weak.
Caddy>SThompson IMO

thanks man. if neale is named then i might just straight swap kerridge for him, but i think that the two of them are probably in the same boat JS and vest-wise, dont you?

seriously?

effectively what you're saying is that orren will be a better cash cow than caddy and that in order to facilitate the 10-15 ppg thompson will score over kreuzer you'll sacrifice the difference b/w danger and porps, which i would guess would be north of 15 points.

caddy is also set for a bigyear imo (a rookie that will be able to keep for the majority of the season), the rest of the mid rookies will hopefully be great cash cows.

Its honestly hard to tell. Lyon says he loves Neale (whatever that means) and Hogan has been mentioned as the replacement for Ling. I would try to find the extra cash and lock in Ledger who has good JS and scoring potential (although is likely to be a vest candidate).

i am suggesting ( and its my opinion only) that orren is not to be thought of as your cash cow, but your 3rd ruck long term your other two rook rucks should generate enough cash to be upgraded to a prem later.

Caddy may set the world on fire, he may not. you need to make your mind up though, one point you make you refer to him as a keeper then refer to him as a cash cow. cant be one and the same. He is not good enough to be a M4, more like a M5/6
Dickson will make more money than Saad and will prob score 5-10ppg more.
"Dangerfield is going to set the world on fire" hear it every year but never delivers. you will prob lose 15ppg ave going porps.

Thompson will score alot more than 10 - 15 ppg than kruezer, with the draw that adelaide has i would expect more like 40ppg for the first 5-6 weeks., which by then you may be ready to cash in a cash cow and upgrade to increase that ppg variance

My thoughts would be (Saad 40ppg, Kruez 80, danger 75, caddy 70 = 265ppg) vs (dickson 50ppg, orren 55ppg, porps 65, thompson 120 = 290ppg)

....just a thought
