thats a bit harsh, i think its more Mark Harvey was the jerk for DT, the problme is broughton is too good in the shut down role, what he needs to do is play a few shocking games in that role and instantly he becomes a perma mid.

Shaw will tonne it up on some matches and then not do so well in other games where he has the responsibility to shut down a key forward.  Shaw should have a higher ceiling and higher average IMO, but can be risky.

Broughton will do shower when Mundy and Barlow are back and Shaw is way too inconsistent - only averaged over 82 once in his career

I'd rather Heppell, Hanley or Birchall/Carrazzo
