Josh Hunt is one Geelong player who has not been mentioned for a long time as he recovers from injury. That could make him a bargain signing for fantasy AFL next year. His long kicking makes him a very useful SuperCoach defender.

One problem could be that the Cats are too deep and J Hunt may not walk right into the side, unless a veteran or two retire.

A simple plan for picking a fantasy sports team, grab a player or two who missed the previous year with injury but is expected to return to action with as big, or even bigger, of a role as they had before. Harley may be gone, Wojcinski may be gone, and as Hunt had plenty of quality kicks even when those two were part of the Geelong back line with him it could mean a lot more for J Hunt to do if the Cats are missing those other players when season 2010 starts.

Josh Hunt has had plenty of time to recover, so when round 1 comes along he should be as good as he has ever been. While the Cats don’t have a lot of deficiencies, one thing they could use a bit more of is a long kick from the back line so Hunt will be available for that task.

I think Hunt would be an excellent pick up. I don't think he will score heavily but should increase in value so if you can afford to have him sitting on your bench he should make some money for you.

I'm not sold on him - he has a big leg and and experience but has always been a confidence player and after a serious knee injury his self belief may be lacking. Pre season form hasn't been great. Throw Ladson in that boat as well.

Josh Hunt was such a good pick at the start of the year but has showed no form and hasnt had many good performances.
