Kane Lucas would also be a decent pickup?

I would be all over Masten, but I'm running 4 prems and 4 rookies in the engine room this season.

steer clear of lucas for SC his disposal efficiency is shower 26% last outing.
Wow, that is almost unheard of.

I like mccarthy and masten.  Mccarthy has been killing it in the Nab buts its curious theyve been using him so sparingly.  Masten JS okay?  Was doubting that a bit.

At the moment i have the following midfield:

Ablett, Boyd, Mitchell, Masten, Parker, Caddy (McDonald, Magner)

May lock in Magner even if not picked round 1 ... would have gone Neale as well (prob back rd 2) but didn't want both my bench players not playing round 1 .. hence McDonald is a safe bet (unless Shiel is named as he played in the twos last week).

I think McCarthy will be vested a lot based on pre-season.
Masten is going to kill it ... if not ... easy to downgrade to McCarthy if I am wrong about him!!

If you start with McCarthy and Masten kills it instead ... you would have spent the money elsewhere and will struggle to get him ...

my only issue is with these fellas they are wide open for the green vest/red vest so i dunno im a bit iffy about picking these guys i like masten the most of them

thought about brad ebert?

I think Masten is injured. MCarthy may get more oppurtunity at Port. He will be enjoying being an important player instead of a fringe one and will make the most of it. Caddy is a gun though. MCarthy just.

I like mccarthy

In a port midfield thats not strong he will flourish. had a good pre season as well
