Marty Clarke - Yagmoor,Toovey,O'Brien,Shaw,Goldsack,Johnson,Maxwell,Reid,Tarrant,Brown,Young - yes there are injuries NOW but can Clarke play more than a few early games after that?

Billie Smedts - Guthrie,Hogan,T.Hunt,Scarlett,Mackie,Enright,Wojo,J.Hunt,Lonegran - again injuries create a few openings but for how long? Surely they'll rotate the young ones.

Jarred Boumann - Stratton,Gilham,Guerra,Puopolo,Burgoyne,Ellis,Gibson,Suckling,Birchall.

Paul Bower - Jamison,Russell,Duigan,Yarran,Thornton,Carrazzo, etc.

Lachie Neale - mid or back? Broughton,Duffeild,Suban,McPhee,Mzungu,Lower,Spurr,Ballantyne,Fyfe,Mundy,Barlow,Dawson,McPharlin,Silvagni,Ibbotson,Hill

Clay Smith - Higgins,Sherman,Boyd,Griffen,Cross,Libba,Wallis

how are any of these guys any more reliable than GWS boys who will be risky due to rotation also? Rookies are HARD this year.

Chippa

You have to surely believe that for them to give up pick 25 for Marty Clarke they are keen to play him each and every week. Buckley must of been a big fan, and we all know the Irish have big tanks. Having Bugg looks like good cover if the unthinkable happens.

Smedts got absolutely targeted by Chris Scott when the hype was being built up to much around him, he said he couldnt believe how much hysteria was being pumped up around Smedts and that he would be "earning" his place and didnt expect him to play right off the bat. Seems like he is going to be tough on the emerging youngsters although Menzell etc thrived under him last year.
