TEAM NAME: E.W. 2
DEF: H. Scotland, B. Goddard, H. Shaw, B. Deledio, G. Birchall, G. Broughton, D. Heppell (B. Ellis, T. Bugg)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, D. Pfeiffer, C. Smith, C. Hampton, A. Miles, D. Shiel (J. Magner, K. Stevens)
RUC: M. Kreuzer, J. Giles (J. Redden, O. Stephenson)
FWD: L. Franklin, A. Goodes, N. Fyfe, M. Pavlich, D. Martin, J. Lewis, S. Sidebottom (A. Kennedy, Z. Skinner)
CASH LEFT: $11,900

Now, I know this is crazy but I see 16 keepers (if you include Kreuz).

Just pretend for a moment that I am serious and give it a rate  ;D

Solid forwards, may not get enough cash to upgrade rookies but if they end up being keepers your laughing

stew42

Solid fwds? Really?  :o

Yeah, for this team to work really well, you'd like one or more of the mid rooks to be keepers, although that's unlikely...
The way I see it is that my bench would be the source for downgrades, and I'd upgrade my mids...

PS, I'm not actually game enough to do this  :-[

Justin Bieber

Yeah average forwards and backs, but good mids ad rucks :P

Mr.Craig

As someone who's in 2 leagues with you I'd be very interested to see how such a strategy plays out.

All I can say is - good luck. ;)

Zombie2.5

Einteresting.

hmm if i did that, i would have coniglio in mids and/or swan and also a premium ruck.
You could still play 1 or 2 rooks in fwd/backs for xtra cash.

I dare you to do this.

This strategy could really work! Average premiums seems to be between 13-15 this year. I've rarely seen a theoretical 16. Granted, I don't rate Kreuzer. My only thoughts to this tactic are; have you picked the best premiums? In the end, the thing that seperates first from 1000th is the premiums they selected at the beginning. You need to have pretty much 6-7 of the top 10 premiums to win everything.
I generally don't, but I'm choosing to sit on the bench with your tactic. It could seriously be either a 5 or a 10/10. So most likely it will end up being somewhere in between :P
I've sort of gone the opposite to you. I have 5 premium mids for a total of 14 premiums. It can be seen here:

I think the byes may hurt your team and someone like heppel could literally do anything this season.
Be weary of goodes and pavlich as they're not getting any younger.
Good luck mate!

Note: this is not my team!!!
I just spent 30 seconds picking the most popular/best prospect backs and fwds, without considering byes.
You would have to be very lucky to pick the right premos, eg picking the Red/Rock of 2012. Otherwise you would be in the poos for most of the season reshuffling your premos.
