To paraphrase Captain Hector Barbossa: "They're more guidelines than actual rules." The position gives a vague indication of where someone will be playing, as everyone crowds around the ball these days.

Does anyone know why Sam Rowe did not play in the NAB Cup opener?

Cicjose

because he has a shoulder injury

not a bad attempt. Close to the money.

Rowe is not in the best 22 at this point and I do not want to ever see Collins play another game again.

I think our best 22 looks like this

Russell Jamison Laidler
Yarran Henderson Duigan
Scotland Gibbs Simpson
Walker Waite Robinson
Garlett Hampson Betts
Kreuzer Judd Murphy
Carrazzo Curnow Thornton Ellard (sub)

EMG: Bower , Joseph, Lucas

Bower, Lucas, Joseph, Armfield, Warnock, Thornton, Ellard, Tuohy, Davies are in line for the last bench spot and the sub vest depending on team structure for the week and any injuries. The coaches love Ellard even though I am not a big fan of his. The same with Armfield. I think Armfield will get the vest a few times this season.

I think the Blues will line up in round one something similar to this

Russell Henderson Joseph
Yarran Bower Scotland
Gibbs Carrazzo Simpson
Lucas Waite Robinson
Garlett Hampson Betts
Kreuzer Judd Murphy
Curnow Ellard Thornton Armfield (sub)

EMG: Tuohy, Davies, McLean

Joseph will tag Nahas, Carrazzo will get the job on Cotchin or Martin and Gibbs will follow Deledio. Scotland will rotate through the wing/middle and Thornton will be the swingman.
