And for those whomissed out on the Fantasy Freako newsletters, have a gander.

Club-by-club and by price.

Best Cheapie (< $140k)

Greater Western Sydney

Probably the most difficult choice for selection, is how many and which GWS cheapies we pick this year. One player is certain though - Jonathan Giles (102) points. His performance could be enough to have him start at #2, but haven't decided either way. James McDonald (75) did enough to convince me, despite rumours he could wear the sub-vest a lot, while Adam Kennedy (97) and Devon Smith (73) are very tempting midfield-forward options.

Richmond

A very eye-catching performance from Steve Morris (90) and think he will be named in the Tigers line-up come round 1, and should slot right into your defence. His partner-in-crime Brandon Ellis (56) will be hard to pass-up also.

Sydney

I like Harry Cunningham (39), but I think there are better options in the midfield, and don't think I'll be able to fit him in.

Gold Coast

I'm finding it hard to choose forward-line rookies, and Aaron Hall (51) might be the answer. Nothing spectacular in his scores though.

Geelong

Mature-aged recruit Orren Stephenson (51) had his best game DT wise, and played all 5 preseason matches this year. Unfortunately, those 5 matches totaled only 133 points. Still more than enough as a 4th ruck if he plays, I'm just not sure he will play consistently.

Western Bulldogs

Fantastic performance from Tory Dickson (89), and my never-ending hunt for forward rookies could see him picked.

Essendon

No Bombers played in this price-range.

Brisbane

I'm trying to coin the phrase Cheap-As-Crisp, after Jack Crisp (49) but I would doubt a round 1 debut is coming.

Adelaide

Sam Shaw (43) is a developing defender, and with Adelaide on the up, will likely get better. DT wise, he is probably not the right choice.

West Coast

Not much in the Eagles camp, with Koby Stevens (33) the best option.

Best player $140k - $280k

Greater Western Sydney

If you're willing to pay slightly more for Will Hoskin-Elliottt (78) and Adam Tomlinson (68), you'd probably be satisfied with there preseason. Stephen Coniglio (54) will no doubt be a star, but I think is $50k over priced.

Richmond

Nothing much for Richmond, with Andrew Browne (47) the best performed.

Sydney

The form line of Luke Parker (109) has been impressive. As a left-field choice, he could be worth the price.

Gold Coast

As with Parker, Josh Caddy (88) also has a massive upside. It all depends whether you want to risk the extra dosh. Me personally, I'd rather go for newbies, and use the cash on premiums.

Geelong

I would say Cameron Guthrie (57) is the best option here, could be a good defensive option, and scored 86 in round 2.

Western Bulldogs

Solid performance from Christian Howard (74), but am more excited over Brian Lake (63) and Ryan Hargrave (59).

Essendon

Will Courtney Dempsey (90) get more of the ball? Tell me Bomber-fans, I want to know.

Brisbane

I'm really liking the look of Mitch Golby (94), who scored 304 points in 3.5 matches.

Adelaide

Developing forward Tom Lynch (69) is an interesting prospect, but Walker and Tippett will be the go-to-forwards.

West Coast

Former Dog Josh Hill (88) will need to step up to fill up Mark LeCras's spot, and while Darren Glass (88) is one of the best players in the league, he won't score high consistently as a full back.

Best Player $280k - $420k

Greater Western Sydney

Two centuries to finish his preseason has Callan Ward (126) a decent option, however his only downfall is that most teams will have a lot Giant rookies, and he maybe overkill. He seems a much better option than Tom Scully (31) though.

Richmond

I was at the Richmond-Giants match, and Jack Riewoldt (146) was only metres away from me. He no doubt dominated the match, and with 6 goals was probably best on ground. But strangely, he also did a lot of things wrong, spilled marks, easy chances missed, poor decisions, so I'm unsure if he can do it consistently against top opposition. Still, he is likely underpriced after a relatively poor year last year fantasy wise. Robin Nahas (124), Nathan Foley (117) and Shaun Grigg (102) were impressive, but feel better value is elsewhere.

Sydney

A couple of great mid-priced defender options in Nick Malceski (122) and Heath Grundy (104), one or the other could slip in nicely as a 4th or 5th defender.

Gold Coast

Last year's number one pick David Swallow (85) will only get better, but in my opinion is still developing and might not average more than 90 this year.

Geelong

How about Andrew Mackie (90)? Experienced player, still has some upside...  Hefty investment though.

Western Bulldogs

I think we've all selected Shaun Higgins (96) at one point or another, and I think he's broken far too many hearts, and done just about every injury in the book.

Essendon

Every Essendon fan raves about Michael Hurley (120), saying he is the next Nick Riewoldt or Jonathan Brown or Lance Franklin or Travis Cloke. Essendon fans are right. Ben Howlett (107) ain't too bad either. Paddy Rider (82) a decent #2 ruck option?

Brisbane

I'll continue to umm and arr about Pearce Hanley (84) for some days.

Adelaide

Michael Tuck medallist Bernie Vince (108) was very impressive last night, and could be a good 4th midfielder if you're looking for something different. Vince promised to be a premium a couple of seasons ago, but faded a bit. Is the year for him to shine? Patrick Dangerfield (83) is almost impossible not to pick,

West Coast

Two injury cursed, but two very good defenders, are Beau Waters (93) and Sam Butler (86).

Best Premium (above $420k)

Greater Western Sydney

No Giants in this price category!

Richmond

I was very worried about Brett Deledio's lack of preseason this year, but his 140 points has erased any doubts.

Sydney

Nothing wrong picking Shane Mumford (133) this year, and Josh Kennedy (106) would be a great unique midfielder.

Gold Coast

A lazy 88 points from Gary Ablett, who is simply warming up for yet another brilliant year.

Geelong

Just when you forgot about him, Paul Chapman (113) sticks out his bald-head, and it's hard not to like James Kelly (101).

Western Bulldogs

Monster preseason from Matthew Boyd (129) and could force himself into your line-up. While Daniel Cross (117) shows signs of rebounding from his relatively poor year last season.

Essendon

The question at Essendon is who will help Jobe Watson (108)? Well Heath Hocking (101) and David Zaharakis (101) have put their hands up.

Brisbane

A lower score from Jack Redden (76) but still a great overall preseason, while Matt Leuenberger (74) is still a decent option.

Adelaide

Picking up right where he left off in 2011, Scott Thompson (135) is a ball-magnet.

West Coast

One of the most consistent players in the league is Matt Priddis (99).
