anything other than winning the premiership is a fail bcos thats what each team sets out to achieve annually  :-X

Not necessarily,

I would believe that all the bottom 9-10 from last year would merely be aiming to improve, not win the GF

Capper

Blues, Weagles, Hawks and Cats top 4 for me

i guess West Coast Eagles wernt subscribing to that theory in 2011 :-\ complacency breeds mediocrity...

Master Q

We have to finish Top 4 this season, otherwise I'll be really upset.

There I was happily driving my children to the park on Sunday. Usually we walk around the corner but we decided for a change of scenery and drove 5 minutes to a different playground. I was speaking on the phone to my mate who barracks for Carlton and suddenly I yell out "oh no".

"What's wrong?" say both my mate on the phone and my eldest daughter in the back seat. Then I had to explain that our visit to Princess Park was a bad mistake as we had walked right into the Carlton FC family day and there was navy blue everywhere. Occupied enemy territory! My mate laughed out loud, my daughter genuinely wanted to go home.  ;)

Expectations seemed high!

[/quote] +1  defently be upset ,but i do like to hear when they say "We believe we've got enough improvement and the young guys coming up that can help lift us to that top-four spot."  :)

premiership or fail, theres nothing wrong with setting the bar high...

i dont think there r many of us Blue fans going "hey how about that 93 season, that was a great year"

Id disregard the NAB result as we played all our rooks. Out were : Nick Duigan (he was the big improver for the backline last year), Michael Jamison (a key player in our defence), Chris Judd (the name Judd explains itself), Mitch Robinson (the hard man of the midfield), Jarred Waite (a key player at all times), Andrew Walker (he was our best forward last year), Robert Warnock ( the main ruckman).

Yes all teams have played in the same boat but as you can see these seven players are pretty much crucial to our year.
