that's a lie. I though there might be a way using dpp in other positions... but I failed...

Sorry for the delayed reply, i am in Antarctica and have issues with access sometimes. I had worked stuff out on paper to begin with and have had a go at trying to make a spreadsheet though my skills with excel are not great. I tried to attach it but it said the server was full so have attached the screen shots instead. As i have already said i know that its unlikely to have all players available each week along with a great deal of other variables, i love strategy and so that's why i have been sitting down on the days when we are in lock down due to bad weather fiddling with player positions to see what's possible. Again this may not be a viable strategy once this time of the season comes around but its still fun to consider the options.

Unfortunately Crows84 you have a presentational error which means that you do in fact end up with 2 donuts in the forward line  :(

In Rd.11 you've said downgrade a Rd.11 rookie to a Rd.12 rookie. Then in your Rd.12 layout it shows it back as a Rd.11 rookie, so in fact this should be a donut in Rd.12.

If you tried in Rd.11 to downgrade that 11 rookie to a 13 rookie instead, then you would end up with 2 donuts in the forward line in Rd.13.

I have tried for the past 6 hours to try and correct things so that my theory still worked but I can't seem to do it.

Here is my last repeat attempt

R11

•   Defence: P3 to bench and bring on P9
•   Mid: Trade  P15 to a R13 player
•   Mid: P13 = Donut
•   Ruck: Bench P18 and bring on P20
•   Fwd: Trade P24 to a R13 player

Total of x2 trades (could do a third i.e d/g a R11 rookie for extra cash) and 1 donut


R12
•   Def: bench P2 and P5 and bring on P3 and P8
•   Def: trade P6 and P7 out for R11 players
•   Mid: rotate DPP’s â€" P14 and P23
•   Mid: Bench P10 and P23 and bring on P16 and P17
•   Ruck: Bench P19 and P20 and bring on P18 and P21
•   Fwd: Bench P23 and P25 and bring on P29 and P30
•   Fwd: bring on the rotated P14 and bench P27
•   Fwd: Trade P28 out or a R11 player

Total of x3 trades for the round and no donuts

R13
•   Def: Bench P1 and P9 and bring on P2 and P5
•   Def: trade P4 out for a R11/12 player

Guess you were right, thought somehow I had cracked it, I supposed it brings us back to what has already been said. At least 2 donuts unless there is a DPP ruck

its not good but at least we are still at the point where we are all in teh same boat and no one else can do any better,

now its down to having the best side to score the best during the bye rounds and every other round....

think the best advice is to try to have it so rooks are the donuts and all your premiums are always on the field except during thier byes where they are obviously on the pine
