I just got off work, so I didn't see it either. But I read this:
QuoteCourtenay Dempsey, Dyson Heppell and captain Jobe Watson, in his first game of the pre-season, were all stand-outs.

QuoteHis (Dempsey's) composure in tight spaces and precision passing also helped release teammate Dyson Heppell for prolonged stints in the midfield.

I like the sound of this.

Heppell was alright... Wouldn't say standout though.

Solid. He doesn't really know how to play a bad game. Not dominating for whole matches yet but wait until he's in his 4th season.....

Heppell - locked in my team since long before NAB CUP - bulked up a lot and a fair bit slower as a result, i was surprised to hear "standout" too but thats what was reported.

DT/SC relevant thing is he played on the ball a lot off half back and through the middle and that in thier best 22 so at least we know what we are going to get, unlike his main competitor for my team (broughton).

I think as he gets into the season and isn't pumping so much iron he will slim down and speed up a fair bit and all he seemed to lack tonight apart from a little intent was SPEED.

Loved the way he knew what to do and was always in the right spot tho, the guy has a footy brain, but yeah i think he had a fair bit of improving to do to be at his potential which will be great i think this season, certainly next...

Had him locked before NAB Cup. Haven't had the chance to have a real good look at him. Def on my watchlist.
