I see no problem in using the loophole as much as you can, it's just another part of the game.

They probably could close it by not allowing any change to captain or vice captain once the first game has started. Just like they lock the players from those teams.

that defeats the purpose of partial lock out. How pissed would you be if you named swan as captain, then over the 5 days he does himself a mischief and you got him locked in as captain and cant change him. The double chance captain cant be stopped. It has its pros and cons.

Well, once i saved my side the captaincy was automatically given to the first mid (in my case Swan) so there goes the loophole all together doesn't it?? unless you are willing to make your skipper a non-playing guy.

It can be done as outlined, the cons r if you take vc's score as captain you play one donut. The pros r potentially more points. Your not going to name a dud as your non playing captain you r going to name a player one step away from cracking in the senior team and somebody potentially with good DT scoring ability.

No it doesn't...

Partial lockout is to trade players that play saturday/sunday... Not just for captains. That's also what the VC is meant to be used for, if your C doesn't play. Therefore not a huge deal

the question i would like to ask is are you going to select a player not playing in round 1 so that you can get around with this captain loophole. I thought that the idea was to get the best team on the park?? not guys who will miss a couple of weeks through injury or suspension

i will be picking a team come round one that consists of 30 guys playing round 1. personally i think that someone would be crazy to pick someone injured or suspended in round 1.

All that money on the bench is a waste!!!!

I'd prefer to have a full 30 playing round 1, with GAJ as Capt. ;)
