Scotland/ rookie mid/ HMac or Howard/ Pendlebury/ rookie ruck

my other prems in the positions are:
def: God, Lids, Heater
mids: Ablett, Swan, Selwood
Rucks: Cox

All the rest are rookie planning ob going in with one mid pricer and that is either hmac or Christian Howard.
Which combo would be better?
p.s. i know if i went the second option my defense would be weak but sincethe defense looks like they will be the weak line i dont mind it being weak and upgrading later so my other lines can be strong since they will score higher.

First one. Rookie mids are more valuable.

are you taking into consideration pendles  vs scotland and hmac vs howard or is the whole reason you picked the first one was because of rookies?

I like the second option.
I think that you could get away with playing Stephensen or Giles (or rotating them around) as your 2nd ruck.

But I disagree with starting Pendles. I personally don't think he can maintain that price. He will almost certainly drop. What about starting a rookie ruck, Murphy and possibly Lake? Or Hargrave/Conca?

i was tossing up between pendles/ Howard and murphy/ Suban. i just felt that in the end your gonna want pendles so why not have him from tbe start and i was looking for a cheap def to go with him and saw Howard. looked really good in his first nab game the other night and a full preseason and third year player now. could have a big season?

Yeah true.
But I'd rather get someone who'll only average a couple points behind Pendles, and save myself 50-100k. (More if he has an injury affected game).

I saw Howards game. If he can keep it up throughout the rest of the NAB, I'll be on him too haha.
The end of the NAB will see many players swapped in and out of my team.

Suban, he could go alright, I'm personally not a fan though.
