*facepalm*

that doesn't matter.

I mean, personally I think he's over priced, but still, if he's scoring 110, he's the highest scoring ruckman in the competition.
the game is about points, not cash.
True, the game is about getting as high a score as possible. But it begins with a set salary cap that everyone's team must conform to. As its impossible to start your team with the best (and typically most expensive) players from each position, EVERYBODY must compromise somewhere.

Ziplock

you compromise in some spots. If you think there's players that can come into cox's range go them, or not start any premium rucks etc. Sometimes you have to start with the best, you need to have your abletts and swans, your goddards and franklins here and there or you won't be competitive.

personally that's what I'm doing. But not because cox will drop in price due to the rise in price of rookies. That's a really bad reason :P

Its ony a bad reason if you are planning to sideways trade another ruckman to Cox when he becomes cheaper - but I doubt that anyone who is a regular visitor to this forum would be considering something like that.

The fact that he is close to guaranteed to drop in price considering his expected output is an important factor to consider if you are looking at upgrading to Cox at some stage.

Kuruki

To me planning to upgrade to Cox is not really a smart option. Cox will smash it before the bye rounds and then tire toward the end of the season. Eagles will learn from last year that they need to give Cox a break coming into finals. I reckon if your not on him from day one your not going to get any value out of him.

if you look at it from a long term perspective, cox will surely drop in price, making him a great upgrade target for who should be the top ruck if not second.

on the flip, in the short term he will be the highest point scoring ruck, so you will have that extra score on the board while others are behind.

question is can that extra 70k you save getting berger or sandi, be used to upgrade elsewhere and make up that point difference?

i would ust hate not to have him and it be the difference in a league win or loss. i've picked him so i know that when he starts pumping out the tons from rnd 1 i won't be kicking myself. i'll be smiling.

I lost a couple of games last year because people were selecting him as their captain against shower sides and he was killing it ... he is by far the best ruckman in the comp
