Hey guys, just wondering if i can get a bit of feedback on this first version of my team. I'm finding it a little hard to deal with the 3 rounds of byes at the moment, but with this team I will have cover for round 12 (7 doughnuts), but not so much for round 13 (12 doughnuts), and round 11 (11 doughnuts). In the backline especially, I will have 5 non-scoring players in round 13, whilst in the midfield i will have 4 non-scoring players and neither of my premium rucks in round 11. Should I attempt to rearrange my backline with the aim to tank round 11?

Anyway, here is my team:

Team Name: Walshy's Wannabes
DEF: B.Goddard, H.Scotland, H.Shaw, M.Clarke, B.Ellis, T.Mohr, S.Morris (L.Brown, B.Wilkes)
MID: G.Ablett, M.Murphy, M.Priddis, A.Swallow, D.Pfeiffer, D.Shiel (K.Stevens, T.Mitchell)
RUC: D.Cox, M.Leuenberger (T.Derickx, O.Stephensen)
FWD: L.Franklin, C.Rioli, D.Martin, D.Zaharakis, J.Brown, D.Zorko, A.Treloar (B.Smedts, T.Walsh)

Cash Left: $53,600

You can construct a very strong team to account for byes that will give you only 2/3 donuts. I have posted my team thread for you to look at especially page 6 with comments on byes etc.  It also contains a link to Collies bye spreadsheet which will also assist.  Basically decide on the prems you want for your finals team and base your initial team on that and allowing no more than 2 prems on each line with a bye in same round.

As for your team
Very Sound  pretty Standard - Think Derickx is still injured so would look at replacing him with Giles.

Yeah, I tried making a spreadsheet of myself, but I'm thinking that tanking one round of the byes whilst concentrating on covering the others should be alright.

As per Tom Derrickx, he has been named in the Tiger's NAB team for tonight. the only problem with trading Giles for him would be that 3/4 ruckmen would have the bye in round 11. Also problematic.
But yeah, thanks for the advice.

What do you reckon about Zaharakis? I was umming and ahhing about him, but I think that based on his performance last year he should be set to step it up another level this year.

Might go with Giles over Derickx, given his performance in the NAB cup. Might also play around with the team a bit more and stack it with round 13 bye players with the aim of tanking that round.

Any further suggestions?
