Ringo

Very solid team here. No comments on rookies as final list will be dictated by NAB cup.

Only fault that I can see and just my opinion will Gibbs be a prem mid. And how will Grimes return?

9/10 so you should be happy.

Sundown24

Thanks Ringo. You seem to provide some great advice to everyone.
I think Gibbs can lift the average above the 110-115 mark. Grimes, I'd be loving for a 90-95 ave.
My other option would be to downgrade Hayes to a Rook (or Caddy, my dark horse). Then upgrade Gibbs to a genuine 600K player
Cheers

how much coin left in the kitty mate??

you got five rookies starting. with GWS you could go more i think but i don't think this is a big deal.

you have really spread out your team on each line. i'm for a 8.5/10
\
   - i think you have taken a slighly cautious approach and i really think your asking for it without any collingwood guns!! i think a swan/pendles is a neccesity. but it might really mess with your current structure.

Sundown24

45,600 left in the kitty.

I agree, I do really want Swan in there (Pendles too expensive I think). I could drop Hayes down (only needs to be by 15K, or more if I want cap) to upgrade Selwood to Swan.

I'm keeping a close eye on Caddy/Horsely and also the main GWS draftees (Coniglio, Sumner, Hoskin-Elliot etc.) But I look at it this way:

Swan = 120 ave.  +    Rook/Caddy = 80 ave.
Selwood = 110/115 ave.    +       Hayes (fully fit) = 95/100 ave.

More risk with Hayes, but same could be said for risking a bad pick of a Rookie

11kgm

I would wait and upgrade pendles after the buy sell a cash cow and upgrade a mid. Also with the rookies don't forget people like sheils drafterd last year and tom mitchell father son

Sundown24

A few rookies are on my radar, including Mitchell. I'd heard he had an interrupted preseason.

Any other thoughts anyone?

Couple of changes. Maybe the rucks are slightly weaker, but Natanui was the faster finishing ruckman last year and McEvoy has absolutely no competition.

I like adding in H.Shaw and Swanny. Less mid-pricer risks this time.

PICCOLLO

Are you sideways trading in round 12 bye?  Too many mids out and avoiding a midfield zero is a good idea.  You'll be losing clarke, shaw and broughton in that round too.
If i were you, id put brown in your mids for mpp, then you could bring in deledio and switch him into mids for his bye to juggle premiums.  I know you want to load up on top rookies in mids but you need at least one link for team management.
Cash left?

Sundown24

$39,500

I hadn't really thought into too much depth about DPP yet. Was waiting on how well the rookies played.
I'll hopefully have upgraded Shiel/Caddy/Mcdonald by that round 12 bye though.

Just not sure about Deledio's health, so figured having Newman was next best idea. Could use Goddard as cover into the mids

PICCOLLO

Even with those guys upgraded you still have a mid zero.  If you're serious about overall, run through the bye period with your team and see how you fare.  Balance is key.  Deledio will play last round of NAB i reckon.  If he tore his hammy (prob a strain). He'd still be ok for round one of season.
Id start with a bank of 80,000 plus.  Sounds silly but if you run through the bye period, ull see why.

Sundown24

Cheers for the ideas guys.

Changing my mind a bit, the ruck structure is huge in terms of how the rest of the side works out:

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio, H. Shaw, J. Grimes, N. Suban, R. Conca, M. Clarke (B. Ellis, B. Wilkes)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, S. Mitchell, J. Selwood, C. Hampton, D. Shiel (L. Brown, J. McDonald)
RUC: B. McEvoy, J. Giles (J. Redden, O. Stephenson)
FWD: L. Franklin, A. Goodes, M. Pavlich, J. Brown, A. Christensen, J. Cameron, B. Smedts (A. Treloar, T. Walsh)
CASH LEFT: $35,600

* Could downgrade Selwood to Barlow/Hayes
* Could downgrade Suban/Conca to Lake/Hargrave
* Both to upgrade the ruck spot
