Hi All

4th year at this caper and still not got it quite right yet, i think my bias towards my team which i will not mention due to their lack of form lately hasnt helped my causes, ok here it is.

Backs: Goddard, C Cornes, Lockyer, houlihan, Raines, Spagner, McGuire (Suban Rance)

Mids: Ablett, Bartel, Judd, Dalziel, Haselby, S Hill (Ziebell, Robinson)

Rucks: Hille, Lade (Natanui, Cordy)

Forwards: Delidio, Murphy, Goodwin, Fevola, Lucas, J Reiwoldt, Gumbleton (Thompson, M Brown)

And Still got $43k in the bank, so if anyone has any thoughts would be interesting.

g'day mate - im a bit the same this is my 3rd year of fantasy footy - this is the 1st time ive done some homework for it but i admit im biast with some of my players as well..

well why not put stephen hill in ur backline??? who is spagner?? i think the game is too quick for brendan lade these days and he's scores r gonna show it, don't get me wrong he'll still win a fair amount of the ruck work he does and i like him as a player..
u gotta strong midfield.. maybe start with one less 'gun'?? perhaps haselby?? at his price 350k by memory??he hasn't got as much room 4 improvement as others..not to mention he is coming off an injury so maybe risky?? but if u rate him he cud be great value at his price and do a nick stevens of 08, but i don't think he'll end up as a top ten midfield scorer in 09 so bugger him off and get someone who'll make some cash - i dunno, higgins, swallow, skipworth, oh u haven't even gone for daniel rich???

yea the ruck seems dificult this year - by all accounts natanui isn't right 4 1st half of season and i don't think cordy is right to go either.. try one of those swans jesse white prob but there is also currie.

forward line!! - i'd say u should reshuffle. on paper it looks good tho but for instance, murphy isn't fully fit i kno he had surgery so i'd try someone else- if ya wanna keep it doggy style grab giansurcusa?? (spelling) he is dam consistent. um - goodwin?? too old for me i go for more durable players from the start he is expensive as well, he is a genuine gun player tho so i can't really knock him but i think there is better at his price. scotty lucas?? im tempted by him but not sure!  ah jack reiwoldt! im a young tasmanian and this guy is a fu@#ing knob.. thinks he's all that which is prob the right attitude (in a way) but he goes quiet in some games it depends on who plays on him. i wouldn't pick him - due to his price but he cud score well not due to him but the delivery he is going to get from that nice looking richmond midfield. fevola is in my team looks in top form. but will hav cold games due to teams flooding.

well this a long post!! i'd say ur structure is ok - IMO fix ur ruck, maybe downgrade haselby or even two mids?? - then rejig forwards wit cash from mid to then add another premium forward as u've really only got lids n goodwin(murphy not 100%) as premiums there..

I know - no big Cox!! my last rejig was bartel in 4 daniel wells then hille in 4 cox to afford that move. so 4 me its bartel from the start or cox- either way i want both of these guys and they r clearly both at prem price- so im going bartel..

VERY NICE TEAM mog_dog00 - That's pretty much the way I'm going but I think I might start Cox instead of Bartel as there's more trading options during the season for the midfield than the Rucks.

Here is my current rejigged line up taking into account some of your comments (a long way to go until kick off yet though!)

Backs: Goddard, Cornes, Drummond, Raines, Houlihan, L Fisher, Hill EMER: Suban, Rance

Mids: Ablett, Bartell, Pearce, Dalziell, Higgins EMER: Ziebell, Robinson

Rucks: Hille, Clarke EMER Meeson, Graham

Forwards: Harvey, O keefe, Deledio, Gia (thanks I forgot him!) Roughhead, Lucas, Gumbleton EMER Thompson, M Brown WCE

As i said its still only early but thats the beauty about this game!!!
