Thoughts? Personally i probably think Pav and Gray, with Martin an upgrade target. Am a bit skeptical on Zaha because of his apparent dodgy knee.

Yeah that's a head stratcher. Zaha had a good end to last season and Martin is favourite to everyone.

"Zaharakis has now joined his teammates for full pre-season training having shrugged off the knee tendinitis that bothered him throughout the 2011 season."

The 21-year-old was given a bigger midfield role from early last season and he thrived on the responsibility, impressing with his poise, decision-making and ability to execute his skills in heavy traffic.

"When I first rocked up as an 18-year-old I didn't have the body and the fitness to go straight in there like some guys do. Guys like Dustin Martin already have the physique and fitness to do it, but for me it's taken a bit of time," Zaharakis said.

"I sort of took my opportunity and in the second half of the year I felt a lot more comfortable in there, especially when Jobe Watson and Heath Hocking came back from injury."

pav and gray just, i would have gone the other option but fear martin might struggle first half of the season against tough teams, when i say struggle i mean 80 -90 when i expect 100 from him by the end of the year, i hope now to pick him up in rnd 14 with an average of 80 and get an average of 115 out of him for the back half of the season..... hope..

Windigo

I'm in the same boat mate.

I have Pav & Gray and I'm still pretty confident that both will score more......Last season Pav was all over the shop with his scoring.

I tip a more solid season in 2012.

As for Gray he arguably the cheapest FWD that could average 100 this year..... :-X

If we are doing pre season quotes.....:

Port Adelaide fitness coach Cam Falloon says criticism of Robbie Gray's injury prone body is not warranted.

"He hasn't got as bad a body as everyone thinks," Falloon said.

"Robbie did everything we asked of him during the off-season and hasn't missed a beat yet. We'll keep a close eye on him, but he completed 95 per cent off last pre-season, so to be honest he's not on a modified program at all."

Port Adelaide forward Robbie Gray is hoping for a change of luck on the injury front after having his best-preseason to date.

"It's the most training I've managed to do in a pre-season, so I guess it's good from that point of view," he said.

"I've had a good pre-season so I'm pretty confident heading into the season -but I say that every pre-season. I'm doing everything I can. I'm just praying it all holds up and that I can get through the season."

What about Zaha and Gray or Gary and Martin?

Bones Bombers

i've read a lot of people saying Pav will score more this season cos he's going to play more forward, how does this work out?
don't forwards who play midfield score more?
both of your combos are worth a try but im hoping Zaha and Martin kick ass this year!

elephants

Pav and Zaha but obviously you can't afford that so Pav and Gray with Zaha and Martin as upgrade targets.
