QuoteGreater Western Sydney's code switcher Israel Folau is a lost soul and should return to rugby league as soon as possible, according to TSI AFL analyst Robert Walls.

Folau is a flog.

Karmichael is alright, but still average.

Ziplock

folau was rushed into afl with substantially less preparation than hunt. He'll be right.

Kellogscrunchynut

Just needs more experience he's a terrific athlete should turn out well.

Capper

sounds like someone wants to coach a 5th club

Kevin Sheedy (to paraphrase)- stfu, I know what I'm doing n00bs.
haha yep, thats sheeds

Ziplock

yeah, people should just leave sheedy alone- doubters also told him that fletcher was too slight and wouldn't hold up at an afl level for long.

he's not even that bad! once he develops he'll be good, as ziplock said. he can crash a pack and is bloody athletic, he just needs to develop.

although question is, will izzy be able to develop in a team with such promising KPP youngsters in Patton and Cameron...?

Ziplock

I think so. he's a big guy, but his athletic ability means he's pretty versatile- for his size, he pinch hits in the ruck surprisingly well, and I think in a season or two should be able to float through the mids in a goodes/ pavlich like manner.

I dont understand why people (especcially someone as experienced as Robert Walls) think just coz hes a gun in another code, he should come in and be right up 2 AFL standard. U cant learn 'footy smarts' in 1 year. No wonder Robert Walls's coaching career was such a hit.

Spinking

My hope is that they stick it out for long enough to really give it a shot. We've seen this year Hunt has been able to earn his spot in the team on merit, but I think with 2 or 3 more preseasons and 50 more games he will start to read the game more instinctively and become a genuinely good player.

Folau just needs time.

Ziplock

from memory hunt had an extra year of preparation for AFL level as well.

He has had a bias against Kevin Sheedy and Essendon for so many years (and I am a Collingwood supporter!) that is was an ongoing public embarrassment. So now when he has his chance for another pot shot at something to do with Sheedy he takes his chance.

I think most people would agree Sheedy has done a good job for GWS both on and off the field. Like Folau, the club has a long long way to go, but you have to start. KHunt may never get another kick, but with last week's effort he's made an impact, lets hope Folau gets his chance.
