anyone else considering him? at a juicey 197k, could be a real steel if he gets game time in a winning team.

He's a risk. There's a lot of competition for players of his type at the moment. He averaged  nearly 80 after 2009 so if he got back in the team he would be usefull. He's to risky for my blood though. If he does some damage pre season he'll be worth a look.

pretty easy, if he gets named rd.1 consider him... if he doesnt get named rd.1 then dont consider him

Pretty much goes for all players, but assuming he does get a starting gig in round 1, it seems like his only chance for a place in the Premiership-winning team is as a crumbing small forward. In his good seasons previously, he was pushing up to a wing. I can't see it happening in Geelong's structure currently, guys like Christensen, Duncan and/or Varcoe have probably taken that role.

However, If I'm wrong and in the NAB Cup he does start playing off a wing, strongly consider...

yeah i guess that does go for all players  haha
ok if he dont get named then NO  and if he does get named then well YES, hes a better option than porpoise and probably as good of an option as brown and alot cheaper

Nah J-Brown commands far more of the ball than what Byrnes will if Byrnes is just a forward line crumber.

in scoring wise  they wouldnt be that different,,  remember this is DT and not SC
i dont think people should even be looking at brown in DT,  but they will..
