ben mcglynn tonned up 5 times last year. although he is a little risky because he got a low score of 23( but i think he was subbed) and got to average 76.6. at 379k i think he is reasonably priced and hopefully should have a big year
what are your thoughts?

Yes, he is a gun BUT he cops a bit of attention from taggers. Maybe with the youth in the Swans midfield (Hannebery and K. Jack) some attention will be taken away? Would be a risk but if he can average 88+ you will have done pretty damn well.
Has a good early draw from memory too!

I love Ben McGlynn but i'm not sure Longmire does, at least not as a midfielder anyhow. I had him last year and he ended the yeat spending the majority of his time as a permenant forward, pretty sure he even kicked 5 goals one game and didn't crack the ton. Be very wary of him getting some midfield time otherwise he just doesn;t get enough cheap points.

had a lot to prove last year after not being wanted by the hawkers, don'think he can back it up

This here hits the nail on the head. His first year at the Swans under Roos he averaged about 90, under Longmire he pretty much was a full time forward. His best game I saw him play last year was against the Cats when he played in the midfield tagging Selwood.

last season was his second with the Swans, he backed his first up pretty nicely I thought!

That being said, I won't take him this year
