Proposed DT Game Change

Just to create a discussion: I hate the subsitute rule when it comes to DT so I suggest that there should be partial lock outs before every game? This way DT coaches have a chance to check the final line ups before every game starts (final team normally announced an hour before start time) and could then either trade in or sub from their bench players from unlocked (not yet played) teams. This would take away the issue of the unknown subsitute for that game and give a chance for DTers to make a last minute change to overcome this or in the case of late team omissions. Just a thought

If this was implemented I'd make it bringing on players only, not trading.

I dont think VS will like this because DT is designed to be fair on people who cant always make it onto a computer during the weekend. People who do have access will have an advantage over those who dont, and will probably make those people lose some interest which is bad for them.

A more suitable rule which I have seen around somwhere is the oppurtunity to name your own sub (out of any 8 of your bench players) who's then 'subs' for the lowest scoring player in your team (which a fair amount of the time will be a subbed/injured player).

Thoughts ?

That is true. So i can't see the rolling lockout happening. Also it does take away the fun and suspense of DT. Can't make it too easy ;D

What happens if you trade in a player on sat due to a late ommission/sub only for that player to be a late ommission/sub on sunday?

Sub rule does suck for DT i was hopeful it would be gone this year

they have gone to the rolling lock out and you can trade and bench players before and up to every game start in the PRO versions this season.

was / is very interesting

probably for the same reason to keep it fair in the regular comp but assuming the pro subscribers will be fanatical enough to be there on the weekend. Tho I will no doubt miss a few opportunities every weekend because im not glued to the pc and tv for every game all weekend, unfortunately :)

I dont have SC Gold or DT Assistant coach but are you saying those who pay to get that, have got a rolling lockout before each game?

I would get it in a hearbeat if it did.

+1!!!!!!!

I really doubt it. As much of an incentive that would be for people to buy it, it would be a really dick move for them to make, and would completely skew the competition. I think there's just a rolling lockout for everyone?

No I was saying that is how it works in the DT Pro and SC Gold competitions, buying the assistant coach gets you the entry into those tournaments which have the rolling lockout, but it changes nothing about the normal DT and SC games. just gives you all the stats BE ect ect...

If they did this they would lose money, not make it as less traffic=less advertising money.
