The 23-year-old revealed on Wednesday that after suffering from depression for three years, his illness became so bad early in 2011 that he admitted himself to hospital.

"I was pretty close to thinking I couldn't get any help and wasn't going to come out of it," Hogan told Melbourne radio station 3AW.

"I was quite suicidal."  :o

Did a lot of reading on him for this write up, really sounds like he is ok now, good support on the homefront, and on medication, there was mention of "being ok" without the meds in 6 months, thats dangerous talk and garbage he will be and should be on the meds for life and he will be fine, may never be norman but should enjoy a good quality of life and at worst be OK which is tough OK is not what we all hope for,

All the best to him hope he can realise his potential in the AFL. Good on the Cats too as a side note for the support.
