Pretty good but who is your captain?  Swan, pendles or gaj are sc mainstays but who in your squad is your go to?  Captain choice is vital as obviously they get double points.  I love luenberger but his scores against quality rucks arent quite there yet.  Can't fault much else there.

Thanks Picocollo, ill probably go with Goddard, Selwood, Murphy or SteveyJ in the early rounds, ill definitely be looking to bring in some other big premiums which will be captain material later on

DEF: bit too mid priced for me leaves you short at least 1 rook for making money. I would downgrade either conca or lake to a rook and use the money to upgrade any premium midfielder to a captain as suggested above, pendles or gaj or swan i'd go.
MID: definately lacks a supergun captain, every round you dont have one you risk losing a LOT of points to your opposition.
RUCKS: Fine, ideally have 2 premiums, to once again not lose points on your opponents, still west is a good pick for a mid pricer.
FWDS: Nice and deep.

Overall a very good side, but top heavy defence and a little light on in mid and ruck, only due to no captain GUN mid and mid priced ruck, but i would upgrade a mid to a super gun (capt) before i worried about west.

As for your rooks don't worry about them by the time nab cup is over and teams for round 1 are released we will all know what rooks we MUST have :)

The good thing for you is you have quite a few high priced rooks which if cheaper ones perform as well or better can save you a lot more money.

Thanks Colliwoblers, i wont yet but after a few more suggestions i will have a 2nd go with some minor changes, i will change either Conca or Lake to most likely Buntine, then id have to upgrade to probably Ablett, which midfielder do you reccomend upgrading, i think Murph could go crazy this year, but i think the Hawks will finish top 2 so Mitchell could have a stunner

thats a tough question becuase you are correct on both of them, mitchell really did a great job last year, brownlow votes up the wah hoo, BUT, he did it  a fair bit of the time without hodge in best form.


Murph finished the season so well you cant help but back him to have a great season so if i had to pick one to upgrade it would be mitchell, and if i had to pick a captain it would be out of swan and ablett, and being a collingwood supporter and a lover of swan i am still going to recomend ablett. He is a DT super gun. he has agood draw and what he achieved last year with the suns can only be improved this year.

Mitchell to Ablett for me.

Yes the hawks will be up there this year but still i back murph to outscore mitchell.

Buntine should be great but if you are not convienced there are plenty of great 104K rook options in the backline that means more money for you. If you decide on a high price rook you want to be sure he will tear it up, 70K is a lot of extra mulla to pay for a rook..... tho buntine will be a star lets be honest.

Spurr has to be promoted off the rookie list, buntine needs to get to $270K to make you the same money as a rook at 104K who just has to get to $200K, i would skip the expensive rooks unless they are so good in nab cup you plan to keep them ala swallow, curnow. Same for Morabito big wraps on the guy but more cost and still not a keeper i think.

I like the balance of team 2 best and starting with swan and gazza has to give you a nice warm fuzzy feeling at the start of the season doesnt it.

Both teams are good, id love tyson,coniglio,wingard,buntine,tomlinson,morabito and the couple of other GUN Rooks, and most if not all of those guys will be guns, it's just that for their purpose this season (cash cows) i feel the same or better can be achieved from your standard $104K rooks, excepting like i say if you find one or two of those expensive guys in nab cup that screams keeper i'd save the extra money to either upgrade mid pricers you have or in the bank for trade time :)

Yeah, the team is definitately going to change depending on the rookies, and other players will revolve around the money i have left over from the rookies, from now until the start ill probably shuffle around the team a few more times, but will probably have a similar lineup to what i have now, as a core without the rookies
