Hi fellow DT'ers, I have just realised being slow and all since I am a toothless pies supporter (actualy quite handsome& humble :) )

I and a lot of you have 2 lions rooks in our teams Dicherty and Zorko, these guys just happen to be DPP MID/DEF and DPP MID/FWD respectively.

I have seen them lining up in teams all over the place fwd line midfield and backline.

My thoughts and questions is should both of these players be starting on our midfield bench to give us the dual DPP links to the many DPP premium players we will be starting in our FWD and DEF lines?

IF NOT THESE TWO WHO ELSE ARE WE LOOKING AT FOR A DPP ROOK TO THROW IN THE MIDFIELD?

theflyinghawk

both were locked but docherty has had surgery and hasnt started training yet so hes out of my team for the time being.
the other mid/def player getting talked up at the moment is Luke brown from adelaide who is training well from all reports.

As far as Zorko goes lock him in, same goes for Treloar from GWS who would have gone top 5 if he was in the draft, is a mid with fwd/mid whats not too like. kerridge from the crows again looks a good option in this area

theflyinghawk

that being said not sure im confident enough brown to pick him in my mids bench yet, same goes for kerridge as treloar and zorko are my 2 starting forward rookies

All these people saying that DPP isn't important anymore are smoking something because we have to remember that believe it or not there are 20 other rounds this year where there are no byes.
No good just having the one link because of DPP trading, because that wastes a trade.

Problem is there are so many juicy mid-only rookies that squeezing in the DPP ones into your midfield is hard

Football Factory

Darren Pfeiffer ..M/F if he gets elevated. Has the added advantage of Port Adelaide only having captain Domenic Cassisi on the veterans list meaning they can elevate a rookie before the start of the season.

Peter Rohde ( Port Adelaide general manager of football ) says " We see him as a flexible player. He can play in alot of spots. He can certainly play in the midfield and off half-back and he's mature and ready to go. "

Another dpp I am looking at is Jackson Allen. C/B eligiblity and would have gone in the top 10 if Gold Coast didn't snatch him.
