Just realised I did 2 RG 6s :P We have firing for number 8, at 26 on the list, Chris Newman from Richmond!

Taken at pick 55 in the 00 draft, at 30 years of age and the captain of the Richmond football club, newman is a gun SCer, but DTer... not so much.

in 10 seasons his highest DT average is 82. He's 30 years old, and his average dropped last year, which would probably indicate a slip rather than underpricing at his age and DT potential.

He cracked the ton 4 times last year, including a massive 135 (although that was against gold coast). Although removing the 26 he scored in his last game (injury in round 1), he averaged over 81, which is a little more solid. However, he lacks consistency, scoring under 70 seven  times, under 60 three times, and under 50 once (none of these including injury), from 16 games (once again, not including injury).

I'm not even going to go into a detailed analysis. After 10 seasons, a season high average of 82, with a ceiling that was only decent vs the wooden spooners, at the age of 30... not for me. Slightly underpriced, but 85 average at best.

Rating: 4/10

He'll give you a solid enough average, but not premium, not consistent, and getting on in years. Pass.

good call , i'll pass i am surprised he is a Sc gun. i'll have to look into that, and saying that in SC is he a 4?

in SC he's a pretty tried and tested premium. I don't know what constitutes a premium back, but he's averaged over 90 for half a decade... I think that'd make him an 8 :P
