Picked with #43 in 2005 & nominee for the Rising Star award in his debut season of 2006, the "Captain in waiting" is a specialist in pack situations & can also break away to run forward to be dangerous around the goals too.

It took him a few years to get his DT feet before breaking out in his fourth season (2009) to average 89, since then he's averaged around the 99 mark for the last two years, but looked very good in the International Rules series against Ireland.

With his tackling pressure, goal nous, & ability to accumulate through the centre, he could be set for a big year as he hits the usual DT prime year of 25, but there's a lot of other decent prospects at/below his price range, having the round 11 bye it depends on your team structure but if it works for you he could be a very good pickup.

me

haven't really considered swallow, but yeah looks like a good option - if the roos improve u'd think he'd be right at the heart of it

There's been rumours that 'Boomer' won't be the captain this year, so if Swallow's the replacement you'd pen him in to step up his average like Boyd did when he got the captaincy.

Colliwobblers

i got barlow so no Swallow for me, but he would be a good cheaper premium midfield keeper pick, you want him to be a keeper or he costs you points while you have him by not scoring 110+ and when you do upgrade him he costs you a trade, but i think he is one of those that could lift again this year.

and well written up IMO

I had him all year last year. Hoping for that huge leap in DT output. It never really happened.

I'm inclined not to go him again. But he is all class. And he can so easily pump out the tons. Just needs a bit more consistency.

If his NAB scores are dominant. Then maybe I'm willing to get him in for the 3rd time in three years.

roo boys!

Off Tap

I had him last year and he really dissappointed me as I was expecting him to be in the top 10 midfielders and thought he was a unique pick at his price. In the end he dropped in $$$. He had 10 games where he scored under 90pts which isn't good enough for a midfielder.

I haven't considered him at all for 2012.

ronl

I also had him last year and will not consider him again, when he is faced with a hard tag he simply goes off to la la land and runs around looking disinterested.

dmagnus

can tell who the north supporters are ;) no thx
