but has been rightly pointed out with Roughead Franklin and Hale playing as KPP Gunston needs to show something special to be able to get into this team for round 1
If I was Clarko (which I'm not) I'd play gunston, Buddy, Hale as kpp and Roughy as second ruckmen.

Swap Hale and Roughy. I very much doubt they will risk his Achilles in the ruck in the short term.

Also, Clarko has said that even though he has the potential, Gunston doesn't have the bulk and strength to play a tall role and expects him to initially play on the flanks or the wings.

Yeah short term they wouldn't want to be doing anything drastic. But in the long run his tank, energy and vertical leap could see him become one of the more dangerous versatile players in the league.

Jack Gunston will fit into the team but he needs to build his body up he will be franklins partner for the first half of the season until roughead comes back from injury he is a promising player and will make an impact in the hawks team :)

Clarko has said that he doesn't think he has the body yet to play a key position role, and expects him to play flank/wing in the first part of his career at Hawthorn. They are developing him in the mould of Pavlich, being able to move into the midfield as well as key forward.
