Okay, so DT is open for business & my team's already almost completed.. baring one selection issue. the midfield rookies.
I can't decide which ones of the seven to have the 4 spots I've got open for them.. anyone got an opinion on who should be making the cut?
D.Shiel, A.Miles, S.Gibson, K.Horsley, K.Stevens, E.Kavanagh, S.Clifton, are the only ones competing for the spots

agreed. saying your rookies are ''locked'' now is a bit silly. you wont know until after NAB and when teams comes out which ones to pick.

Phasir

but there's only 52 days until lockout!!  :P

Windigo

I have Shiel & Miles "hypothetically locked." Going by stats alone you have to pick them.

But NAB is where the rookies will weeded out. Basically all out teams are hypothetical until virtually the end of NAB Cup.

not considering mcdonald? he only needs to play 6-7 rounds and he'll get u some nice cash + they wouldnt recruit him to sit in the coaches box would they

Phasir

not that sold on McDonald, might come back to bite me but i doubt he's going to be a consistent option as fill-in midfielder

#10
he doesnt need to be a fill in midfielder sit him on your bench and watch the money rise, he ave 94.8 in his last yr is guaranteed games as he has a strong body to protect the kids (thats y they recruited him) he's a cash cow as he's rookie priced!! cha ching!! but hey all good if ya dont want him but i think 100% it'll come back 2 bite you as all the younger rookies ur looking at will b involved in sheedys roatation policy

The way i see it Sheedy is not going to want to send the kid's out every week and get absolutely destroyed. McDonald is the perfect crash test dummy. He will play till he falls over, then he will do whatever else they want him to do behind the scenes, by the time this happens he would have made plenty of cash and played more early games then most of the other young kids we are all picking. That's how i see it anyway. They dont need to protect McDonald they will thrash him back into retirement.
