Surely when draft talent is running low this year clubs would want to look at recycled players. Like seriously beau wilkes and sellar were the only ones picked up out of a long list

i.e
Macqualter
eddy
motlop
slattery
pffiffer
ect.

dont understand why clubs like port and co. turned down players like pfifffffer (dunno how to spell it just know there is a lot of f's) when it s like picking up mature age recruits.

oh well there is always 2012 draft where Toumpas, Kennedy, Stark and co. are going to clean up talent

Reckon the thought of any smart recruiting is grab the best youngsters that are available first & then look at the next step of mature (Young) recruits & if that works as like a few clubs have done > Pass on 1 or more picks & then you have the Pre Season Draft to have a pick or 2.

In Ports case they have 1 pick left for use say Davies / or the other Collingwood Player training at Richmond in the hope of being drafted, or whoever they think is the best available one to suit there needs. These are the ne being mentioned in the papers.

Yeah clubs will generally always wait until the rookie and preseason drafts to get mature age players unless they're worried that another club will pick them before.

What about Myles Sewell? Surely he will get picked up in the pre/season-rookie draft

Flemo

Andrew McQualter, Robert Eddy, both Henry and Tyson Slattery and Darren Pfeiffer (can't spell either) are all very limited in what they can do. Ultimately if they aren't what a team is looking for in regards to the position they play then why draft them?

Both Marlon and Daniel Motlop can do magical things. Marlon could not even crack games at senior SANFL level while Daniel is getting older and hasn't got enough up side to him. Ultimately although both very talented they probably not worth giving a second chance and third chance to.

I'm more happy to see my team Port Adelaide research players throughout Australia and even if I don't recognise the players name they draft. As long as they have studied them and that mature age player fits the needs of the club.

Could'nt agree more Flemo + i would'nt be unhappy if Noen leon comes our way. Even given his age, i think his experience and teaching of the young-uns, would be a great bonus. Hope your reading this Matty P

He should, but has been left out for the last 2 years now, theres not much more he can do than what he is doing to get a crack on a list

surely you cant pass up pfifffer as a mature age. or lee spur.

Who is priming for no.1 next year

Toumpas, Kennedy, Stark or that Victorian guy
