Happy with the rookies overall.  Bit surprised with mature age Wrigley though but may be a good move given his last 2 years  in the NEAFL.

Good mix of local talent and and couple from interstate.  Crisp sounds an interesting prospect,

Very happy with Jack Crisp. Tackling machine and made TAC cup team of the year could be the next Tom Rockliff

The 18-year-old from Sydney comes from a running background and already has one club record in his back pocket, smashing triple-premiership player Shaun Hart's 3km time trial mark.

Hart ran 9m 35s, but in pouring rain at the University of Queensland on Saturday morning, Newell smashed that by 14 seconds.

Commited as well the young fella

His commitment to the club was shown recently, when stuck in traffic and running late, Newell parked in a side street and ran the last 4km to training to ensure he wasn't late.

That is damm quick.

I did a 3km time trial recently and while I may have 2 decades on him from an age perspective, I was just under 11 mins. Gut busting. I can't imagine doing 3 min 11 sec kilometres!

Beat me to the post on Newell was sent it at the same time you posted.  Will be interesting to watch his further development.
Interesting that Sam Micheal who stands at over 200cm also ran the time trial in 10 and a half minutes.  As our recruiters say need to find the right position for him as he has played a number during his time at the AIS.
