Hey All,

Please rate my SC team.

Deledio, Enright, Birchall, Gilbert, Waters, M Clarke, S Shaw, Blee, Bews
Ablett, S Thompson, Barlow, Hayes, Shiel, Zorko, J McDonald, Mitchell
Mumford, Kreuzer, Giles, Stephensen
Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Zaharakis, Brown, Porplyzia, Treloar, T Walsh, Panos

I think it is a strong team with only a small amount of risk.

Cash $34,200

Hey Pistol

Bacs - Gilbert and Waters - two mid pricers which are both risks. Waters 'cause he's so injury prone and Gilbert 'cause he has lost his mojo somewhat imo. Solid enough first three picks, love Clarke.

Mids - Fair enough S. Thompson and Barlow - Hayes is a no for mine - 32 years just cant see him being top 15 mid at all, so upgrading a 422k player is rather wasting a trade.

Rucks - Fair enough - i'm still wary of Kreuze though.

Fwds - Extremely strong line with Brown at F5 - love the first 4 picks. Would look at down grading a premium into a cheapie and strengthen the mids.

Not a bad squad wary of the mid pricers is all - could pay off 7/10.

I cant see Waters scoring enough consistently enought
Gilbert is supposedly going to have to play more of KPD role next year so I think his scoring ability could take a hit.  Bring in Grimes and sombody else.
Dont know how much Shaw will play but thats only a small issue
Agree with lozza on Hayes and not a fan of two mid-pricers anyway
Quite like the idea of Kreuzer actually
If possible dont try and downgrade the forwards too much.  Youve allready got Brown, Porplyzia and a rookie starting

i would say its resonable team with a fair bit of risk..
mids are abit light on, dont be so cheap ;D
not getting goddard would be ballsy, he will probably be the number 1 back
also no pendles or swan from the start,, yeah nah, but good luck to you anyhow

Sound team overall but fair amount of risk.

Watch Rookies in NAB Cup and then select best performed who are named for your team.
Backs: Agree with what has been said for both Gilbert and Waters but watch pre season. Heppell at around the same price may be better value so long as he does not get 2nd year syndrome. Everybody is on the Clarke Bandwagon but I am not convinced he is in Pies best 22.
Mids: Would only take one of Barlow or Hayes preferably Barlow.
Rucks; Kreuzer  will he get the game time to warrant the 2nd ruck position.  Warnock will be No 1 at carlton I believe.  May pay off though and be like Petrie last year.
Forwards Sound
Gutsy call without Goddard and one of Pendles, Swan, Murphy
Overall 7.5/10

Thanks heaps everyone for the feedback.

Tempted to go Waters to Conca

Would give me the money to either upgrade Lenny or even Thompson to Swan.

Is this a better team or a step back?

I really rate Hayes, has averaged over 100 for 6 years before his last knee, at 32 stars of the game still have it.

Deledio, Enright, Birchall, Gilbert, Conca, M Clarke, S Shaw, Blee, Bews
Ablett, S Thompson, Cross, Barlow, Hayes, Zorko, J McDonald, Mitchell
Mumford, Rowe, Giles, Stephensen
Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Zaharakis, Brown, Porplyzia, Treloar, T Walsh, Panos

Main change is Waters to Conca, Cross for Shiels and Kruez to Rowe.
Week on Ruck but last year I tried the set and forget and I still ended up using trades in the ruck.
Can hopefully be my first upgrade.

Actually, instead of Cross and Thompson, might look at Swan and Kieren Jack?
I think Jack had a bad year with injury, has a strong will and should set back up.

3 mid pricers in the midfield, I know, but I only need 2 to pay off.

Midfield:
Ablett, Swan, Barlow, Jack, Hayes, and rookies.

Backs: I Like, would prefer goddard/shaw to enright/birchill but thats a close call.

Mids: Very strong, though perhaps thompson/cross could be traded to swan/murphy + someone slightly cheaper to make the money, thompson and cross arent quite the super premiums to me.

Rucks: If you going with 1 premium and upgrading your choices are fine.

Forwards: First 4 all great choices, having both brown and porplyzia is risky, could pay off but having both could backfire too!
