I know I'll be held to account for any forward statements I make around here and I've got a big one to make. Without wanting to be the Cicjose of the Collingwood Football Club I have a big and somewhat sad prediction to make.

I don't think the two Grand Finalists from last year will make the Grand Final in 2012.

There, I've said it. It doesn't happen too often and the Cat's and Pies have dominated the competition for 4-5 years but for various reasons I think two other teams will jump ahead of them this year.

:( ??? :(

I hope your wrong. But the Buckley factor worries me.

You definetly aren't the only Pies fan who is thinking along those lines.....

My boss (a fairly avid Collingwood supporter) doesn't think they'll even make the top eight  :o

I think Collingwood just need to keep in the top 4 and they still have a big chance of getting to the Grand Final again

given Sydney's poor record against them I hope the opposite happens  :-X

Nice way to hedge your bets there Cruise ;)

Imagine the papers re Buckley vs Malthouse then IF they don't make it.

Tho in saying that reckon top 4 is a go.

No hedging my bets Fletch, I'm just a little worried. That said I'm confident we'll touch you guys up again on ANZAC Day! Pretty much part of the day's tradition isn't it?

Collingwood lead 9-7, with a draw :( The gap will more than likely increase this year :'(

PowerBug

Well it's a Win-win isn't it Cruise. ;)

Over the last 6 years it is 5-1 to the Pies and a collective margin of 196 points !!

I knew that, but I didn't want to emphasise the skew towards Collingwood... I wanted to make it look more normalistic.

I thought the sample size of the last 6 years was too small :P I wanted to get a true population distribution, rather than a sampled distribution ;)
