just wondering why these two guys aren't listed as fwds in fanplanner, surely these 2 aren't going to be listed only as mids next season when they seem to play wing/fwd most of the time, while other people like ROK and chappy are still listed as fwds and play almost exclusively in the midfield =/

Mzungu played mainly midfield and half back so thats probably why he isnt listed as a forward.  Smith played mainly on the wing for Hawthorn so thats probably why he isnt listed as a forward.

yeah i realise that, but if everyone was placed to where they "mainly play" then heaps of players dt positions should probably be different - anyway iirc smith played a lot on a forward flank anyway, but mainly wing in the finals

Also keep in mind that the positions are "educated guesses" from m0nty until he gets the official release from Champion Data.

sometime in december for those with DT gold- I'd presume the classifications on the FP would get magically fixsed around then as well :P

They both had fantastic seasons.....almost too good, as it makes them so expensive.

The way l see it the only way that they might be worth getting is if they have mpp link, smith c/f and mzungu b/c
....or even no mpp but just FWD or DEF

.....but if they end up being MID only, well not for me.....too many better options out there

Hi guys, been having a play with FP but just doesn't seem right. I mean the possibilities just seem too good to be true, even when keeping the team under $8.7mill. Posted this on the front page but probably get noticed more on here........."Judging by some of the teams being put up in the "rate my team" thread, i'd say there will be a few dissapointed DTers once the official comp is open. To me (mind you i am a novice) the magic number looks fairly low (4.78?) and on top of that the current salary cap is high, no wonder we are seeing some heavily stacked teams at the moment. Have i missed something?"

Might have a crack at putting together a team around the $8mill mark, probably going to be closer to what will be achievable i reckon.

Smith kicked a fair few goals last year so i would be a little surprised if he wasn't listed as a fwd/mid

l think ur right in what you say about prices, and l reckon its because we had 33 players last season, compared to 30 for the one coming......the spread of points per game had to go further.

When this gets adjusted l think prices will go up by a ratio of 33/30 which equals 1.1 which in turn represents a 10% rise in prices

l really hope l'm wrong, as l like the way my team is shaping up at the moment

Yeh thought my team was looking the goods using the current prices/cap  ;D So will start putting one together just shy of $8mill. That should be a reasonable buffer once the changes are made. Now the real thinking begins  :'(

Most people dont have DT Gold so they will have to wait till it opens

My team currently costs 8.5 mill. Agree that the teams looked too stacked. Only had one rookie starting in each position (excluding rucks)
