JZ is looking to up his fitness so he can get more game time. I didn't realise he was playing that much less than guys like swallow, was he playing less time still at the end of the year. If he was than he would have to be a lock for DT he racks up the touches in his limited game time. Imagine if he played for longer.

If were our to push up into a sold top 8 teams, we will need guys like Ziebell upping their game to come under the same class as goldy, swallow, petrie and wells who all lifted this year. we just need a couple more players of this calibra, personally im looking at Hmac, JZ, and either grima or thompson who could take that next step.

Ziebell has struggled with his fitness base at the club, two broken legs doesn't really help.

But he had a very good season, and is only going to get better. Going to be a very good player, and has even been rumoured to be in line for the captaincy next (Swallow and Drewie also in contention)

wouldn't like to see petrie to old, would be happy with swallow or JZ.

Yeah, I think Swallow will be the next skipper, Petrie has great leadership qualities but like you said, he would be a good captain for a few seasons but it has to end sometime...
