Yeah, trying to land 3 times is really soft. While yes the saints should get the points, the game should have been cancelled before the day. Im surprised the saints played an intraclub from what I saw of the ground.

Ziplock

saints didn't have any trouble driving. Who cancels an afl game because of wet? what is this, flowering cricket?

Clearly the Saints should get the 4 points.
Well they've been given the 4 points, rightly so too ;)

Ziplock

should have attempted to reschedule imo. But otherwise, defs the saints.

Cookie Monster

Who seriously gives a rats arse about who gets the points?

But if you want my answer, yes i do believe saints should get the 4.

Ok i am stating this, not starting an argument.

1. Essendon had that all planned out before they went there.
2. The pilots said they were able to land there.
3. Half the team were sick on the plane.
4. The AFL was told and they agreed that they could fly up.

St.Kilda did.

Now they get the points Watters gets a chance to look at a few more of his blokes in game conditions. He said that himself

Yeah, but who travels on THE DAY of an AFL match in the modern era?

Also adding onto my point, Essendon had lost their other two matches so this was their last round, one could argue they didn't really want to be there.

i think the biggest joke is you fools discussing such a stupid point... hate if you want but the circumstances are plain as day... your all using an excuse to ridicule a team of players (and/or staff)...get over it and more on... its the preseason.
I got turned back because the roads were closed...so did many...I decided to drive but on the day... good on the saints for putting on a show but the points are as useful as tits on a bull

Coin toss to settle a game of footy, why not a game of pin the tail on the donkey or rock paper scissors hell even settle for a game of Monoply.
Hirdy If you desperatly wanted to play that game just jump out surely the pilot can get low enough to the ground for them to jump plus the ground would be wet enough to make a soft landing.
Not really sure what Hirdys problem is with taking public transport perhaps he left his sudoku book at home or wasn't up to play I Spy with the boys.

I don't think you understand how planes work...
