Boak and Trengove tied for first.

First tie in John Cahill medal history, and first time either of these guys has won it.

Other awards:
Hamish Hartlett, who played a career high 16 games in season 2011 before shoulder surgery, won the Gavin Wanganeen Medal as the best rising talent across the season.

For a remarkable fourth year in a row, inspirational skipper Dom Cassisi won the player-voted Fos Williams Medal which is measured on leadership, selflessness, courage, professionalism and loyalty.

And in season 2011 a Coaches' Award was awarded for the first time. This is an award based on the collaborative view of the entire coaching panel, including the senior coach and assistant coaches. The inaugural Coaches' award was won by Tom Logan, after an outstanding season which saw him play 20 games and finish a career high third in the club best and fairest.

i thought that it would be tied between the lot of them on 0 votes each :P

roo boys!

Tredrea the only vote getter? :P

McRooster

It takes two players to match the Greatness of John Cahill  8)

I bet neither of Boak or Trengove has a son that plays Davis Cup tennis as well and that neither of them goes on to win 10 Premierships as Coach for Port Adelaide.

13 votes won it for the both of them, perhaps not unlucky for some  :-\

Fyfe_gun

i agree with everything he said. logan has a perpetual bandage on his head!

PowerBug

Whoever won the award deserved it. Trengove and Boak had better seasons compared to the others, and Logan is so committed to football he would've been a deserving winner too.

Ziplock

lol, would have been far more amusing for a
'And Port Adelaide have awarded the entire team with B&F awards, a full deadlock, since no votes were given to any players.'
