Kinda only keen for one (maybe two) midprice backmen. Who is the best option? Taking byes and price into account.

Currently have...

Godd (13)
Lids (13)
Shaw (12)
_____
_____
Smedts (12)
Mohr (11)
Ellis (13)
Morris (13)

Ziplock

Grimes over all of them imo. Just has to stay on the park. Even if he makes it through 8-10 rounds and then gets injured you should be able to upgrade him to another premium rather cheaply.

Geezzz... Grimes if I had to pick? all way too risky imo.

Ok so grimes and waters get the points for skill and ability (PROVEN)

But I voted Conca for natural talent, potential and bargain price. He played a defensive role and a lock down role for a lot of last season to teach him defense. But he will play this season in the midfield not maybe HE WILL, He is a gun given the opportunity he will score well in DT and he will have his opportunity. Given the price his age and lack of injury risk he is also the least riskiest player. At worst he will make you the same money a rook would so no wasted trade if he doesnt break out in his 2nd year, and succumbs to the dreaded 2nd year DT curse..

dan nickleson Demons. was runing in the midfield group this pre season before christmas finishing 2nd to n.jones and now has taking out the running time trials after christmas will be playing midfield this year

I still like Rhys Shaws finish to last season. With a better list of backmen this year for the Swans perhaps he wont be locked into a tagging role as he did too often ( IMO ) last year. Doesnt attract the ball exactly like his brother but he is a lot cheaper and stays on the park.

i thought i heard somewhere nicholson was injured?

Nathan Grima from the Roos is another option. Coming off an uninterrupted preseason (unlike 2011) and has been tearing it on the track. I'm going with either him or Conca (and perhaps Lake).

Thanks guys. Grimes seems to be a must-have atm!!

What is Nicholsons price? If it's under 200k i'll defs have a look... Otherwise i think i'll go with Conca or Suban. Really want Suban but don't wanna miss out on Suban's breakout year. Maybe Waters with his awesome bye round is worth a look.... Gah, so many options...
