What can be taken out of sheedy's shower

he talks so much shower in the papers everyday but reading it yesterday i got an inkling.

- he said that they would look at 4 current players and possibly two former players
- for these 4 i would suggest they have signed davis, ward, palmer and scully
- these two former picks intrigued me. I turned the page and saw dean brogan and rucci saying he might look to a one year deal at gws

- my other guess is barry hall who loved sydney and still has the stuff (5 goals in last game) he could play a handful of games and say goodbye to the sydney crowds one last time.

Sheeds said he wouldnt be afraid to bring people out of retirement but also said they would look at luke power as a coach not a player.

recently retired players

-Luke Power
-Leigh Brown
-Barry Hall
-Dean Brogan
-Brady Rawlings
-Jamie Charman
-Darcy Daniher
-Mark Williams
-Roger Hayden
-Byron Schammer
-Marcus Drum
-Cameron Mooney
-Daniel Harris
-Scott Stevens
-Chad Cornes
-Craig Bolton
-Daniel Bradshaw
-Tadgh Kennelly
-Mitch Hahn
-Ben Hudson

So out of that list i would shorten it down to possibly

-Luke Power
-Barry Hall
-Dean Brogan
-Mark Williams
-Chad Cornes
-Craig Bolton
-Daniel Bradshaw
-Tadgh Kennelly
-Ben Hudson

Also from the previous year i would suggest maybe Brett Kirk as a slight possibility just for crowd factor.

I reckon Brogan, Hall, Cornes (Kane as well possibly) and kennelly would all be on GWS radar and they want two.

just something to think about if you can decipher sheedys shower

And it is confirmed that sheedy has brogan and cornes on radar. if they do go then expect kane to also be traded

You'd think, and i hope so, don't like Kane much. Unfortunately he said he's staying put, same with Johnny Butcher. YAY!

Chad will definitely be there, and I think thats a great move on GWS's part.
The only other guy I'd take from that list is Power or Kennelly.
Obvoiusly Hall won't play again, so I didn't include him.

I think the funniest one you've mentioned is Brett Kirk...

I think Chad Cornes and Dean Brogan are a very strong chance of becoming player/coach/mentors for GWS. I also wouldn't be surprised if Leigh Brown joined them either. Yes, he'll be 30 next year, but I think he's still got a lot to offer. Plus he has expressed he wants to look at a coaching role somewhere in the future.

But it's definitely going to be interesting to see what comes about all of this nonsense.

My (probably stupid) question is, will clubs such as Port Adelaide receive any compensation for Chad Cornes if he were to join GWS due to his retirement?

I called the cornes one ages back :P I would like to see him at gws personally, I think port let him go too early.

leigh brown has retired to persue coaching at collingwood. He is not silly because he can learn under malthouse/buckley and then become a good coach. He wont play next year.

i mentioned kirk even though he is well retired if he played just one game evan as sub he would draw a full crowd for gws in sydney. He might do it just to give something back to footy (not that he needs to) sheedy mentioned it ages back

what about coniglio saying he might pass the draft and wait til next year coz he doesnt want to go to GWS what a spoilt little brat. hahaha

Who will be the four 17 year olds they select? got to be at least 2 from vic and one from sa. there are a few good talls as well as midfielders in that age bracket

The Coniglio skipping the draft story was blown up by the media. He came out and said straight away after the story and said that he had no intentions on skipping the draft just to avoid joining a club (GWS), the only reason he would be skipping the draft is to play cricket, as he is yet to decide whether or not to pursue a career in cricket or AFL, due to his high amount of talent in both sports.

thanks i thought they might have. We have all seen the great first year players from gold coast and their next group of leaders are the first round draft pick i.e zac smith, david swallown ect. Coniglio could become the best in the afl in just a matter of years at gws

Yeah i see him becoming a gun player but i think Dylan Shiel will become even better than him at GWS.

Fyfe_gun

as well as curly hampton...

a lot of their original group of youngsters have walked out and are planning to enter the draft to be picked up somewhere else
