QuoteFremantle ruckman Zac Clarke does not want to be considered trade bait in any potential deal to bring Brisbane's Mitch Clark back home to WA and is determined to force a formidable Dockers union with teammate Aaron Sandilands.

Extremely happy to hear that.

if i were a Freo supporter i would be really upbeat about Z Clarke's potential - I think he has the tools to be Goodes-like and be a ruck-midfielder type as a big man ...

Freo need to be careful here, they have wanted Clark for a couple of years now, but now they have a decent option in Zac the cost will surely be too much!!
Get rid of a loyal player on the cusp of something big for a player who has shown he can play but is still a massive risk?!

harvey - lyon?? heave ho Freo

you're right Valk, searching for that FF but i don't think Mitch is it - too much risk and would give up too much potential in Zac if they had to give him up for Mitch ...

is JOM that good? have heard the reports that he's the best 16yr old in the country but other than that ...

Thats all you have to work with right now, every press release sayd he is a blinder!!

IMO the board has it right, would much rather have JOM on a long term deal than all the resentment that could come from dumping Zac for Mitch

Simple fact is this.... If JOM doesnt get picked in this mini draft (GWS would have to not accept any offers this year for that to happen) he will be picked #1 next year.

A clubs point of view is this:  If we get him now we have a full year of professional training in him along with 2 pre-seasons (this year and next year) before he is even allowed to debut.  He would also play a full year in league footy (WAFL/VFL/SANFL) guarenteed.  If he came to the WAFL (and the Dockers ;)) then I am sure he would get to 1 of the top teams next year and get some WAFL finals experience in.... again..... before he debuts.
