best defender under $420k

so i'm taking a risk with my last trade and getting rid of broughton even though he's named, which means pav will be on my bench for GF should i make it, but i have cover for him in brennan.

my backs for this week are: godd, fisher, delidio, bock, broughton, johncock, talia [gibbs, howard, toy]
my opponent has: godd, fisher, delidio, enright, broughton, heppell, murphy [gibbs, duigan, jacobs]

i think i have a slight edge over the rest of the ground, assuming ablett scumbag doesnt go massive.

options imo (obv looking for the win this week, but slight eye to next week too (which is what turns me off enright a bit)):

-gibson. unlikely as he'll get the job on hall, and tends to score less when the opp has a power fwd.
-enright. leaning away as there's not as much cheap ball to be had vs syd and coll the week after.
-suckling. down on form, but an option.
-birchall. consistant but i think i prefer suckling on potential for a big score.
-murphy. meh, dogs have cue in the rack.
-doughty. solid, crows on fire, but have johncock and talia already on field.
-gram. meh.
-adcock. meh.
-anyone else???

i like birchall/gibson/enright

basically it comes down to finding 4 or so solid options, then really its just a coin flip which one does best.

wouldn't lose sleep over the decision.

I'm thinking PODs, so at the moment considering last game playing form of Rivers, looks better than Garland.

Also allows me to bring Stevie J into my forward line.

That's the main reason I am jumping on him, to get the cash for Stevie J.  Otherwise I would have liked to have pulled in someone else.  Was my best option being strapped for cash.  The points I make up bring in someone like Stevie J will hopefully allow me to win the prelim.

good risk to take.  worst case scenario you break even on the defender, and you grab SJ potential massive score.

I'm facing a similar choice fever. I can get anyone from Enright down, and have narrowed it down to him/Birchall/Johncock. Leaning towards Enright purely based on consistency, I have a sneaky feeling that Birchall will be rested next week. As for you I'd go Suckling, can go big, even more so if Birchall is rested next week.

Worst trade of the season for me.

Rivers spudded it. Garland smashed it.  And Stevie J under performed.  Made to the the GF, but my opponent has better thanks to my woeful trades.  Would have scored more not trading at all.

hah you had the right idea in choosing a melbourne vs gc defender, just chose the wrong one.

SJ didn't do too bad. maybe 10-20 points off cloke/davis, and a 40 point gain on Rioli!
