I don't think he will go back, and if he does only for short periods.  One of the reasons Freo are still in the 8 is because Broughton has been so vital to them in the midfield.  Putting him back, despite all the players coming back, would be a bad move.  I'm not saying this just because I have him, but even the media have now picked up on his importance to the team in recent weeks.

a fit barlow and mundy back will definitly take his midfield time though. cant play them all in there, so where does broughton go when mundy is back?

Why should they slot right back into the team though?  Barlow especially who has only just come back from a huge injury.  My point is, players shouldn't slot right back in because of who they are and current form has to be considered.  Right now, Broughton is Freo's best midfielder apart from Fyfe.

it isn't how good he is in the mids, it's where he's valued the most. If he's more valuable to freo as a backmen shutting down players, that's where they'll play him.
